Where to start?
First off, I've only gained a little over a pound since the last visit two weeks ago (rock on!). I am going to assume my glucose tolerance test was normal (for the first time ever- whoo!) since my results weren't brought up. I wasn't about to bring it up myself, that's for sure, lol. I told her about my bloody show & she saw a bit of it when she checked me. A bit more cervical change, but not much- she kept mentioning that she would like to see me go five more days to 34 weeks & that she "didn't trust me". She said my cervix is butter soft & that can mean things could change at a very fast rate since this isn't my first pregnancy. I was told that if I do go in for labor or my water breaking, that they may try to stop things until next Tuesday when I hit the 34th week. I told her it sounds like a plan, just in case! Baby's heart tones were excellent & she said the head is basically sitting right on my cervix/pelvic floor which is why I am feeling so much pressure & those shooting pains. I really like that doc, she actually listens to me & tells me she bases everything on ME, which is awesome. I hope I get her at delivery time! She said my fFN (fetal fibronectin) results were negative, but considering that it was totally inaccurate before my water broke with Ella, that she isn't counting on it being accurate this time, either.
So basically, like I thought- it's getting down to the wire!
Thoughts of delivering so soon have me a bit freaked. We still need to find a new vehicle & get some necessities. I'll make a list later when I have time for another post =)
you don't hear from me tomorrow, it's likely because I am in the hospital again. More of that crazy Baby/pressure stuff ALLLL day, bloody show alllll day lead me to check myself & I have dilated & effaced alot. Don't know whether to be happy/excited/scared shitless/whatever, but my case of the heebie-jeebies I've had since the bloody show started this morning is pretty wicked now.
I had the most fantastic dinner. Kenan grilled pork chops (I'm not a big pork person, but we need to buy more meats) marinated in a baja lime sauce. He also made southwest seasoned mashed potatoes & green beans.. I ate so much, lol.
I found out Moby Wraps are awesome for newborns, I posted over @ LJ about it & quite a few ladies responded =)
Days is on now & I missed it last night, so I'm off to watch & try to relax.
We all spent the night in our (mine & K's) bedroom last night. The window unit rocks my socks- it was around 68 degrees in here all night. Kenan attempted to fix the ductwork under the house, & it's blowing out cold air- but it doesn't seem to be doing much to cool off the house. I don't know what the hell is up with the a/c unit.
Last night (& today as well now) Baby has been doing this "pushing down" thing. It'll get to where I get sharp shooting pains in my cervix, upper legs/hips, & lower back. This morning I woke up to quite a bit of bloody show! I have an appt. tomorrow morning, so I hope nothing major happens between now & then. Planning on resting as much as possible today.
Spent more time in the Labor & Delivery ward this weekend. I was having contractions on Friday that didn't dissipate. I'm home now & still pregnant (YAY!), but good grief I'm sore. I feel poked, prodded, & just altogether exhausted. Fun times!!
I'm going to be avoiding Livejournal for awhile. It's just not my thing anymore. So much asshattery & I have no tolerance for it- nor do I want to be around it. Bad energy breeds more bad energy- which is just something I don't want or need so close to giving birth. It's nothing against anyone on my "friend list" there, so don't think this is about any drama. It's just something that I discussed with Kenan & we both think it's best I stay away ;)
Baby is doing fantastic, estimated to weigh about 4.5 pounds right now, which would put Baby at the same growth rate as my other babes. Thankfully, I didn't get far into the labor process over the weekend.. I was actually quite calm about it all though. I've had some cervical change brought on by the contractions, but nothing major. I was sent home to continue bedrest. Lol, yea with two small children that's just sooo easy to accomplish!
When I think about Baby's arrival, I keep invisioning early in the last week of August. It will be interesting to see if that will be accurate or not.
Well, I'm already bored with internetting, so I'm off to knit & watch Friday's episode of Days, which I missed since I had to go to the hospital..
